About Me
Hi, I’m Erica, a College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Coordinator with over five years in education. I’m passionate about helping students discover their future paths and using technology to make learning engaging.
My Journey in Education
I began my career in education as a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Assistant, where I discovered my passion for helping students grow, learn, and realize their potential. I transitioned into an Advisor role, supporting students in setting academic goals and planning their next steps after high school. This experience deepened my commitment to student success and college readiness. Currently, I serve as a College, Career, and Military Readiness Coordinator, guiding students in exploring pathways that align with their strengths, interests, and postsecondary goals.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston–Downtown and currently pursuing my Master’s in Education in Applied Digital Learning at Lamar University. Through my master’s program, I’ve developed a strong interest in integrating technology to create engaging, equitable, and future-ready learning experiences.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mother of three and deeply family-oriented. My greatest motivation comes from seeing others succeed—whether it’s my students, colleagues, or my own children.
